The term ‘innovation’ is heard everywhere lately. For many of us innovation is an invention turned into a product. However, there is more to it than that. Innovations can be present in any company, government, scientific institutions or even household, and they can take many forms, like new product or service, new method, process, technology or new practices. What is most important –there should be a market demanding for it.
Vidzeme Planning Region – one of ‘GoSmart BSR’ project partners – organised Vidzeme Innovation Conference, which was a main event of Vidzeme Innovation Week in Latvia. Well known national and European level experts shared their knowledge and experience about innovation as well as analysed how global economic trends influence businesses. Will what you do today, matter tomorrow? Innovation is not just high-tech solutions, and it can be affordable for everyone. The resource that is at our disposal hides more value than we would initially expect.
‘GoSmart BSR’ project partners from Bialystok University of Technology (Poland) and Hamburg Institute of International Economics (Germany) were among many speakers on the conference and gave a keynote speech on two sessions. We will publish a full video from their presentations soon.
