Valga is bringing “GoSmart BSR” project closer to entrepreneurs

It is important for municipality to maintain contact with local entrepreneurs on a regular basis by meeting them personally or during events or reach them with the help of cooperation partners. Since the beginning of April Estonian partner of “GoSmart BSR” project Valga Municipality Government have visited several local companies to introduce them to “GoSmart BSR” project and potential benefits from it in more detail. Such meetings help defining company’s plans and concerns regarding internationalisation and innovation, it also builds trust between the company and innovation broker for future cooperation. Information gathered during these meetings will help further develop and improve TIBS system. That also gives many topics for discussions for ‘Innovation brokers week’ that will be held on May 2019 in Valga.

On the 11th of April Livonian Job Fair Valga-Valka 2019 took place. More than 30 Estonian and Latvian employers, about 10 cooperation partners, including research organisations, and many hundreds of job seekers participated at Livonian Job Fair. introduced the ’GoSmart BSR’ project at the fair, attracting new companies to test the benefits innovation broker could bring for their development.

On the 12th of April Valga Municipality Government held a meeting with Valga County Development Agency, which is an official cooperation partner of Valga municipality. Valga County Development Agency provide services and consultations for local entrepreneurs, and their mission is to make local economic environment more attractive and competitive. Since both – innovation broker and Agency’s entrepreneur advisor – share the same interest to foster local company’s growth, it is beneficial to cooperate and exchange information, together providing the best service possible.
